Tired of unruly baby hairs and strays making your perfect look⊠not-so-perfect? Here at 5 solutions...
By Kimberly Webber
(COSMO)Â -Â Whenever Iâm getting ready for a fun night out, I spend WAY too much time trying to tame my baby hairs that never seem to relent. UGH. I canât stand them! Delicate, curly hairs usually at the top of the brow that never grow longer than a few inches.Â

The other day I decided, once and for all, I was going to figure out how to tame my baby hairs. So I gathered some of the best hair and makeup reviewers plus a few makeup artists to help me find the perfect solutions.Â
What we came up with were FIVE amazing solutions to taming baby hairs. Letâs get startedâŠ

This is by far the best solution out there. A perfect spoolie comb with natural ingredients to pull back and hold baby hairs in their place. Liaisonâs Baby Hair Wand uses Castor Oil, Betaine, and Proline to not only push baby hairs back, but condition them to make it even easier to control in the future. We discovered Liaison after we were given a secret 50% off code SECRET50 (shh.. Donât tell them we gave it to you). We were blown away at how well the Baby Wand worked, absolutely amazing! Before you try any other product, we highly recommend Liaisonâs Baby Hair Wand.Â
By far, Liaison Baby Hair Wand, is the safest and most effective way to tame baby hairs and frizzy frays.

Rahua offers an effect Smoothing Hair Balm that allows you to slick down baby hairs and wild strays. Itâs a balmy wax in a small tin that allows for easy on-the-go fix-ups. Itâs filled with organic oils and nutrients to help condition the hair as well. However, the wax is quite thick and can end up being a little more than you want to handle. While it may tame your baby hairs, it also leaves a pretty sticky wax on your hair which can be tough to wash out. Effective but not best.Â

We all love AESOP, they have some of the best smelling products on the earth. But does it translate to a baby hair tamer? Maybe. The serum is made to use with a few sprays on baby hairs and frizzy frays to lock them down. The serum is quite delicate, which is nice if youâre trying to avoid the stickiness that a wax might cause. However, it may be a little too delicate for us, and we find its effectiveness to be quite low. But, oh that smell!

Another one of our favorite brands, Olaplex, offers a frizz and fray taming oil made from moringa and sunflower seed oils that conditions as it holds down hair. Now like many of these products, you need to decide how you want your hair to feel as you tame. Olaplex does a good job of taming the baby hairs, but leaves an oily hair feel that, personally, doesnât feel great. I prefer something more simple and less noticeable like Liaisonâs Baby Hair wand, which leaves very little oil or balm on the hair.Â

This last product took us by surprised when we received. Something about the bamboo âtoothbrushâ caught us off guard. But when we tried the product, we were pleasantly surprised. It works well and the toothbrush does help take the hairs back. The serum-like product leaves very little residue and holds little hairs down expertly. However, the ingredients are quite unnatural without much to condition your hair for a healthier experience. Effective, maybe, but not top dog. We give that to Liaison Baby Hair Wand.Â
While we feel we recommended some great baby hair tamers, but we believe Liaison's product was the top choice. We wanted to talk further with our investigative reporter Stephanie Marianne, the first of our reviewers to discover Liaison Baby Hair Wand and how it worked for her. Stephanie tells the story.
When I first heard we wanted to create a list of baby hair tamers I jumped out of my seat. Iâve always struggled with baby hairs and little frizzy frays my entire life. I used a lot of products in the past, but something about leaving thick balm or wax in my hair always felt worse than just letting my frays fly.
But then my best friend, who I trust with my life, swore by Liaisonâs Baby Hair Wand. I laughed and told her she didnât need it, she never had baby hairs or frays⊠like, ever! She smirked, âexactly.â
Thatâs when she took out her Baby Hair Wand and did three small swipes along my forehead. I was stunned. My baby hairs were magically gone. I begged her to let me keep the wand, but she refused. Instead she gave me a secret 50% off discount code SECRET50 and told me to order my own. So I did.Â
So, as I waited for the package, I looked into the baby hair wand to see exactly how it worked and why it didnât leave my hair feeling waxy or oily. It has to do with the three main ingredients:
CASTOR OIL: A simple, natural oil that isnât too heavy. It can easily hold back hair while also providing strong nutrients for the hair follicle. It even helps your hair grow.Â
BETAINE: A naturally occurring amino acid, Betaine, is a big player in helping the body absorb moisture. When used on hair, it helps keep hair hydrated and strong.
PROLINE: Proline is one of the best amino acid supplements for hair loss. Itâs known to help produce collagen and strengthen hair for thicker, fuller strands.
The combination of all three of these ingredients helps hold down stray hairs while super-conditioning it to feel and look better every day.Â
I received the package within two days and have not stopped using it. I bring it in my purse and fix my strays once or twice throughout the day. I feel fabulous and know I look fabulous.
Iâve been converted into a baby wand believer, and hope you will, too.
